Mrs. Charlene Stephen received her Bachelor of Business Administration form the University of New Brunswick in 1983 and her L.L.B. from the University of New Brunswick in 1986. She was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 1987, where she practiced in the area of civil liability representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants, in addition to a corporate and commercial practice. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003 and has been focusing on personal injury and insurance defence work.
