Vioxx Class Action
On September 30, 2004, Merck & Co. announced an immediate recall of Vioxx after a clinical study indicated a significantly elevated risk of cardiovascular events, including heart attack, stroke, and other serious side effects for patients taking Vioxx for an extended period of time.Health Canada is urging patients who have taken Vioxx to discuss other treatment options with their physician.
Our firm believes that people who have suffered a serious Vioxx related injury deserve to have an individual lawsuit filed. We do not believe that a serious injury or death case should be filed together with claims of many other people as each case is unique and of differing severity.
