Programs
Automated Document Assembly
The preparation and assembly of court documents is fully automated in our offices. By employing special software custom-tailored for each type of law we practice, we are able to streamline our assembly procedures.
Electronic Research
Our office subscribes to the QuickLaw and WestLaw services, electronic databases which provide us with up-to-the-minute access to court decisions in both Canadian and American jurisdictions. The databases also provide us with complete access to articles from legal journals, digests, newspapers, and newsletters. With these two services, we are able to stay on the cutting edge of the law and keep ourselves and our clients abreast of fast-breaking changes .
We also use a variety of high-speed, CD-ROM-based reference products, available simultaneously to all users on our Local Area Network. These products let us access all sorts of facts and data quickly, whenever we need them.
Since these services and products are available right from the lawyer's desktop, he/she is able to conduct in-depth research without losing time at the library, and even while meeting with a client or speaking with him/her on the telephone.
Combined with our individual research skills, these services and products allow us to do a thorough job for our clients and obtain for them maximum results.
Automated Scheduling
Given the premium we place on meeting our clients' needs in a timely fashion, our scheduling system is fully automated. All staff are able to view lawyers' schedules and book appointments with clients right from their desktop. The scheduling system significantly minimizes the amount of time a client must spend on the phone booking an appointment. The system also reduces the difficulty associated with arranging meetings between multiple parties.
In addition, we are able to monitor limitation dates, policy deadlines, court appearances, and trial dates with greater ease and efficiency.
Customized Applications
Clients come to us with varying needs. Some of them also come to us with volumes of information that require accurate cataloging and detailed examination. To this end, we have invested in various general applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, that permit us to create custom spreadsheets and databases most suited to our clients' individual needs.
Electronic Billing
Our Client Management System tracks important aspects of a client's case, such as personal and biographical data, detailed client activity, correspondence, pleadings, evidence, and specific deadlines.
